Photopolymer Etching / Relief Plates
A magical process that can be used to print incredibly varied marks and delicate tones, using a light-sensitive polymer layer on a steel plate backing. Photographic images, pencil drawings or collages make good images for the intaglio method, or bold designs can be achieved with photopolymer relief plates. The process is environmentally friendly and when the sun is used as the light source, it is described as ‘solar plate’.
